Three chips from the El Panama Casino, Republic Of Panama, that was one of the many casinos nationalized under the military junta government of Gen. Omar Torijos. The casinos were renamed, "Casinos Nacionales de Panama," and operated by the strongman's brother, Hector Torijos, who was the minister of gambling enterprises. There were lots of new chips produced with the logo featuring a Panamanian lady in ceremonial, typical skirt-dress and gold headband. Most of the chips are in pretty used condition due to the humid climate in Panama. I have attached three scans of chips I need that I obtained from the club's chip guide. If you have one or all of these chips for sale or trade or know somewhere I can obtain them, please email me at: ajgiametta@yahoo.com My desire to collect these chips is just a sentimental one since I was stationed in Panama City, RdeP, and played in the two casinos -- the El Panama and The Holiday Inn -- which were both located within proximity of each other on Via Espana The value on the chips is in Balboas -- the unit of currency (B/1 and B/5) even though U.S. dollars and coins were widely used by the government to supplement their monetary structure. Over the years, I have been able to collect the other chips listed. Please help an old chipper realize his dream of getting all these chips. Thanks for looking.
