My Dad passed away five years ago. Recently I had gone through his wallet and found 60 dollars. My Dad loved to play VP and when he was able to he would go to Atlantic City a few times a week. I decided to take the 60 dollars and put it into a VP machine as that is what I am sure he would have liked.
After several trips to Las Vegas and back I still carried the money in my wallet never having the chance to play VP with his money.
Two days ago I decided it was time, after a toast to him I started putting the money into the machine. It would only take 40 dollars so I played it until it was all gone. I tried the last 20 in a few machines and they all declined it.
I decided to take the last 20 and play roulette with it. His birthday was 4/24/24 so I put 10 on the 4 and ten on the 24. First spin the ball drops into 24 for a payoff of 350 dollars. I feel he was looking down on me.
I put some of the winnings in a 5 dollar VP machine with no luck. I will carry the rest around for another session at VP. I think him and I will be playing for a while more.
If you read this far thanks. That was a story I wanted to share.
