After a trial run on several Carnival Cruise Lines ships using IPADS and IPhones as prizes, a few ship casinos have decided to use the "game of skill" game that hangs large amounts of cash inside a glass enclosure, and uses a plunger maneuvered by the player to knock the cash into a slot below. The gaming machine proved to be very popular with younger passengers who have mastered all the mechanics of operating a computer-operated joystick. And, it was profitable for the casino as there was always a steady line of players waiting to show off their skills. The game is called "Casino Vault," and it has various amount values of cash -- $20s, $50 and $100s stacked in a bundle, and some mystery bundles that contain up to $1,000 in cash. Are these machines being used in Las Vegas or other land-based casinos? And, yes there were winners but not as many as those who lost and grabbed another dollar to try again!
