internet connection for 4 - 5 days and then it reappeared late last night.
Yes, you all are right.
Yes Jim supported the Club by having a table at the Club conventions; and we would take that opportunity to look over his goodies and buy what we wanted at reasonable prices. But that is all in the PAST as he has not setup a dealers table for the last couple of years.
Yes, Jim had the Casinorama show here in Southern California and we would attend that show because it was within a 30 - 45 minute drive from home - but that too is all in the PAST - no more Casinorama shows.
When we attend the Clubs convention, we spend 3 - 4 nights at the Clubs convention casino as a way to support the Club - a cost that takes away from our chip purchases - when we could have stayed at another casino for free (comp'd).
Now Jim has this 2 day show in Vegas. We cannot afford to attend both days being on fixed incomes. For us to attend we would have to get up at 4:00am, leave by 5:00am and drive for 5 hours (280 mi) to get there in time for the opening door at 10:00am, we have to eat lunch and be on our way home by 3:30pm before it's to late, another 5 hour drive. This schedule does not leave us very much time to look over all of the dealers tables - this does not make much sense to spend so much time to be able to do so little.
We have a choice of the Club convention or Jim's show - the Club's convention wins hands down so we cannot support his show. But if he ever once again sets up a dealers table at the Club's convention we be sure to stop by and see what he has and maybe find something that we need. This is the way we support the Club.
Am I wrong here?
