In responce to the question about the possibility of the 119 C&S coming from Jeffersonville,In....A search of the Caron City Directories revealed the following information about 119 W.court Ave:
1923-24 Cottrell E. Soft drinks
1929-30 " " "
1931-32 American Restaurant
1933-34 " "
1935-36 White Tavern Restaurant

Hopefully, I have attached the Sanborn Fire Insurance map for that block of Court Ave. These maps were used by the fire department to locate entrance doors to buildings. It is a new tool to me and a great help to all who are searching for the location of the old Joints.
So in answer to the question...The building was there and almost every restaurant, tavern, and news stand had gambling in the back room. However,
I have not found proof positive [yet] that they were used at the 119.
