I can see similarities with my own collection...
My main collection is anything UK - chips, cards, pens, any other various bits and pieces. I'm from the UK and so it was an easy choice really, but the fact that we have a lot of casinos - I'm sure by area we probably have more than the USA, but I've never bothered to work it out - means I can get new chips for face (plus my losses for the night!), but also the obsolete chips are also within my budget with the exception of some of those Playboy chips!
At one time I used to try and collect everything that I could get from the USA, but when I realised that was too much I did cut back to give myself enough to have to find without going too crazy - so one $5 chip from each Vegas casino, one chip per Nevada small town and anything from the Paris LV which is where I stay when I visit. So I pick up the odd chip here and there, and can always pick up something when I'm in town. And finally, one CIC chip per country around the world - this one is struggling to find any new additions at the moment!!
I also collect slot cards from Nevada but only with my name on them, so there's always a good day when I'm in Vegas where I leave the family around the pool and visit as many casinos on the edge of town as I can. They are used to losing me when we walk along the strip or downtown as I run inside for 5 minutes to get a new card - and they are all free!!!
Perhaps one day when I have a lot more disposable cash I may branch out a little more, but I'm happy with my various small collections which all grow by a chip at a time every now and then.
Have fun everyone with whatever you collect - fun is the key word!
