Great story Micheal!
I am a sure low-roller in this hobby but have been at it in earnest past few years, with no plans on stopping...I have a few books of Vegas/Nv,AC,CO and one of Carib, wet chips..I went a bit wild early on,probably overspending on some Colorado chips so nowadays my focus is just aquiring chips that have real trade-in value (Palms/Playboys)when the time comes to sell my collection.I honestly look at this hobby as just putting money away for a rainy day and nice to look at at the same time..much like my limited coin collection of American Eagles and I keep an eye on Gold/Plat prices weekly at least. So that is basically the what and why.
Hope to make it to the convention for the first time I have been to a few AC chip shows and while small do see some cool stuff there...and kinda disappointing as well.A member selling books of Trump Plaza LE's for face that he said took a lot of time and effort to aquire and he was just going to cash them in at the cage...
And speaking of VegasWorld, that also was my first trip/stay to Las Vegas 1986,Thanks Bob!
(and of course kicking myself all -the-time for not bring back chips from there,Ceasars,Barbary Coast,Circus Circus,Bally's and all the others over those couple days)
This did survive the trip however, the packet you received upon check-in with all the promo info.
