The ix.netcom.com address for my son is (or at least was) correct (not too many com's!). He doesn't usually use that anymore, though, so I'm not sure why it showed up in the ESPN message and I haven't been able to ask him about it yet.

Anyway, no need to contact him. He's already served his only vital function (getting the thing set up! ).
