Especially regarding the mental health issues.

Here in Palm Beach County, our Sheriff has assigned additional (plainclothes) deputies to schools... where many feel it's much safer than a previously suggested measure of having teachers being trained to carry side arms, of which I visualized in the past few days as being a bad move; especially with what we're hearing how teachers were shielding chrildren, trying to lead them into closets and bathromms while other children were running on their own -- in some cases right past the shooter to get out the door. Not too swift for a teacher trying to pop off rounds no matter how high she was aiming with children in all directions, I would think.

Things are a lot different while at the range where there's nobody shooting back at you as in the case at Sandy Hook.

I just hope we take our time in figuring out what the next step is going to be and not rush into doing anyhing we might regret.
