Cataloging and pricing chips is a tough job. Do you try to average prices paid that you know about? Do you adjust auction prices when comparing to dealer purchases? How do you take into account the kind of chip that appeals to lots of collectors vs. the kind that appeals to only a few?

Certainly finding one you are looking for at a bargain price is one of the joys of the hobby.

We should all give thanks to the 3-S's and their predecessors for helping to put some order to the thousands of different items available to us in our hobby! And we all benefit from the work of our collector friends who are putting together the pictorial version of The Chip Guide to help sort out some of the colors and varieties that add to the pleasure that some of us who like the details of the chip hobby experience.
