I come up with a "SG" if there's only two letters.

I've been told it might be "SSS" or "JSS" but I think there's only two letters... The "/" is interesting and I wonder if it's actually a person's signature and not a monogram.

Any idea...?

I'm almost 100% certain it's 1948 vintage.
