My daughter, Nicole, lives in Toronto. She is coming to visit us here in Brick for a week or so over the Thanksgiving holiday.

She bought a dog approximately 6 months ago. When her local pet store became aware that Nic was coming to visit us, they asked her if she would bring pet supplies to animals affected by Sandy. Luckily we have the Jersey Shore Animal Shelter not far from where we live.

Well, she just called and said that other stores have found out and that now over 2000 lbs of dog food has been donated. The store is now renting a truck and will deliver the food themselves. The owner also told Nic that the owner (the girl in the picture) intends to stay for a week or so and to help out.
