The pot laws have been reduced in Washington and Colorado which could be a very good thing over time IF.....
The government NEEDS money and needs it badly. If the USA(and Canada) would legalize pot and then tax it,they could make a ton of money,reduce crime,keep jails for real criminals and pay off the national debt faster. Why did the Volstead act get repealed? Because the gangsters were making all of the money.
This is an obvious way to make money and I don't understand why they keep making this illegal.
Cigarettes kill millions and everyone in the world knows that smoking is bad so why do the governments allow cigarettes to still be sold? TAXES! THAT'S WHY. So why no do the same thing with pot?
This looks like a no brainer to reduce debt so what am I missing here?
