I have never gone more than a day before, and that was during the summer, when heat was the issue, not cold. Cold is worse. We had water, but no hot water. Those that have a separate water heater could get hot water by lighting the pilot light. Most couldn't. We were in the majority. It was rough. The gas situation is still horrific, you can still find downed power lines and trees blocking streets, but it's getting better. A lot of businesses are starting to open.

I am relieved we have power and hot water, but I still feel bad for so many who don't.
