First, I'd like to say that I joined the CC>CC for two reasons. The first is the code of ethics. I LOVE the code of ethics (they reflect my personal values). The second is that everyone has been so nice to me, even before I joined.
On that note, I've been selling on ebay the Hard Rock Derby Annual chips sets (2005 & 2006). I happen to have the largest collection of them in the world (unverified, but seeing how few were made and fewer distributed, I'm pretty positive that's a accurate statement) Each set was auctioned separately but simultaneously or near simultaneously on ebay. (They were sold under different ebay accounts, but both were my sets). The first set sold for a total of $712.77 to two seperate buyers. The second set sold for a total of $637.56 to the same buyer in two seperate auctions. I then listed the complete set (all 6 chips) for $700, and while it didn't sell, I got several messages from people (mostly members) who were interested in the chips but for a slightly smaller price. I've decided to list it on here for considerably less. I will also be listing just the second annual (2006), along with a few of the chips individually.
$550.00 for the complete set, shipping included. Feel free to email me if you have any questions at all thisnthat1003@aol.com
I am using the information and photos from my ebay listing below. If you would like a photo of the actual chips I will send you, just ask and I will take some or scan them in for you. All chips are in just-made perfect condition. No wear or use at all.
I do have more than one set for sale, so please don't used a sold sign if you post. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!
(from the ebay listing) "These are the very hard to find and rare uncirculated 2005 AND 2006 First and Second Annual Derby Day three chip promotional sets of NCV chips released by the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. For each set, only 200 of the Derby Day chips, 500 of the Second Crown, and 1000 of the Third Crown chips were ever made, and the remaining chips were to be destroyed. That means there are less than 200 complete sets of each possible to own. In order to get the First Annual Set (2005), one had to bet a total of $1750.00 at the race and sports book over the course of the three Triple Crown races. To get the Second Annual Set (2006), one had to bet a total of $1200. The Hard Rock sports book is no longer run by the Hard Rock which also tells you how collectible these chips are. These chips are a must-have for the rare las vegas chip collector or any collector of Hard Rock memorabilia. The chips are completely uncirculated and in new condition. These chips will be mailed with with great care - no tape or harmful substances have or will come in contact with these chips at any point. "
