During the last weekend at the ice cream shop (hooray, closed for the season - now I can get back into chipping and poker and...what? clean the house? Never mind).
Anyway, as I was saying, during the last weekend at the shop I noticed a quarter in the till that really stood out. It was a state quarter (see pic) but...it was far shinier than any other coin, AND there was no "copper sandwich" evident along the side. At first, I thought it might be a foreign coin (since they are made with slightly different metals), but no...it's one of ours. Sorry the picture doesn't do it justice - it appears to be "brand new" and "almost flawless" and doesn't look like any other 25 cent piece.
So, what is it? A proof? Something else? I don't know nothing about no coins, but it's really cool looking.
And thanks.
