Re: Looks Like You Made It To Quite A Few Casinos!

I do enjoy picking up the cards - the fact that they are free is fun too vbg I also managed to make a few dollars with the freeplay that most casinos give with new cards - $60 at Ellis Island and a couple of smaller wins at some others, mean that half of the chips I got down at Spinetti's were free - of course that is somewhat subjective, and ignores the cash that I spent at the tables back at Paris where I was based (although they did comp the 6 day stay, so I can't complain!!!).

I started picking up cards once I decided to only collect one $5 chip from each casino - I did also mean to get to the 'D' but we were running late for a show and so I only had time for a couple of casinos downtown. I made 2 runs to pick up most of them, and then a few were when we walked around as a family (my wife and daughter are used to me disappearing for 10 mins to pick up a new card!!!).

What did slightly surprise me was how many cards were either new issues or just very small design changes. No doubt the marketing guys think it is all worthwhile, but I do wonder if anyone really makes a decision to play in a certain casino because of the card design (well, apart from us collectors I guess vbg )
