Good post Gene, you hit the nail on the head. As you have been there and done that you realize that a 100 chip issue even in these denominations doesn't pay for their daily toilet paper budget.

LE's, yes, many shun them but as new collectors enter the hobby these have the same opportunity of becoming rare as the obsolete house chips that we may never have collected. with the LE's the amount issued is known. Regardless of how many new collectors enter the hobby, those LE's that are already out there will not grow in quantity.

I might be more concerned for someone who is collecting current house chips since there are literally 10's of thousands of them out there.

All that aside to me this is a hobby, if my chips grow in value that's good if they don't so what. I'm not looking to sell them anyway.
