BUT:

There is NO way the PS could have stopped chippers from buying sets and cashing in the higher denominations.

There are many small collector/dealers that want every $5 and down and they know how to get them.

Did the PS make the chips for US?
IMO, yes.
Is that wrong?
IMO, no. Most LE's are made for us. Why? Because we buy them.
Did the PS make the chips for profit?
IMO, no. $10,000 would not even be decernable on a PS spread sheet. If a PS Executive were to point out $10,000 on the bottom line of of a six 0 PS yearly report to the COO and say, "I did That", The COO would look at him like he was crazy.
Did I buy the set?
No.
Why?
Because I do not collect $25 and up.
Are they rare?
IMO, the market will decide that.
Are they the 1st numbered LE's of house chips?
I can't think of any others. The DI LE was for a house chip that was 50 years old and not the same chip.
It amazes me when a non LE collector criticizes LE's or LE collectors. LE's are a major if not largest reason, our hobby is on a fast track in attracting new collectors.
