+1 on this. Last convention I took a walk from Oscars down through Gold Spike into the El Cortez. The Gold Spike and El Cortez really have cleaned up. People were nice and friendly, didn't have any issues sticking to the carpet, didn't smell too much like cigarettes afterwards (except I was with Shaffer and Wilson). But the places were a pleasant surprise.
