Re: Inflated Ebay prices.
In Response To: Inflated Ebay prices. ()

Very interesting point. I would say that everything I sell here or on ebay is fairly priced and consistent with the market. In some cases there is no market and/or book value which makes it more of a science. On the board, I sell well below market value and for lower demand chips even below face value. The only exceptions is when I have misvalued something, there is no market history or I've overestimated the demand than actually exists.

I do, however see some club members (1 in particular) posting on ebay at huge prices. In some cases well above book value. The question is.....does that hurt or help? I normally don't mind his obnoxious prices since it only makes my prices and others seem that much better. I do, however see the other side of the argument as well. If an unsuspecting buyer comes along and buys the chip(s) from a club member at a very inflated price does that reflect badly on all of us?

Interesting debate
