Over the past few days I have visited a couple of casinos.

Firstly, took my Mum down to the Gentings casino in Southend at the weekend. We went for a meal as it was her birthday recently, and she certainly had the luck. First hand on 3 card poker she got trips. 2nd hand she got a straight flush. 3rd hand.....the dealer got trips!!! My wife and I got nothing, but I did get a roulette chip for my collection. Also picked up some £1 chips and a card for trading!

We then visited the Rendezvous in Southend - nothing new, but a card and £1 chip for trading here too.

Then yesterday, my wife and I stayed overnight in Great Yarmouth as we went to the horse racing today. Took the opportunity to go back to the Grosvenor casino where we used to play poker. Got a new card, but the chips are a great range - I managed to pick up old County Club and Pleasurama £1 chips, a couple of old £1 foil centre Grosvenor chips, and they also have 2 styles of the newer £1 chips in play - one has Grosvenor on the reverse and the other is the newer 'G' casinos on the reverse. No new £5 chips in play (which is a shame as I took a couple with me to use, but couldn't ) - they were still using foil centre Grosvenor Casino and CIC Pleasurama chips! Those CICs last forever!.

Finally, we visited the Palace Casino. This is their only casino (they are a bingo chain), with £1 and £5 CICs and hotstamp fractionals - the only 50p I got was completely worn (you can see the words if you hold up to the light), but a nice 25p. No cards - the receptionist said they were changing design and so didn't have any.

Interesting different options for slot machines though. Gentings uses the chip embedded cards that track how much credit you have, and you get your winnings from the cashier. Rendezvous uses TITOs but you also track play on the players card. Grosvenor didn't take cards in the machines and was coin payouts. Palace didn't track play but used TITOs. Nothing like consistency!!!!

Enjoy the scans. Possibly some traders for UK chips or Neavda $5 house chips that I need (everything in the scans except the Palace fractionals).
