I am having back surgery this coming Wednesday, July 11th. They will go in and remove a blown disc at L3; I also have spinal stenosis (the narrowing of the spinal canal where all my nerves are), so to counter that, they will carve out little parts of my spine to help my nerves move a little easier.

I am expecting to be bed ridden for about a month afterward, but since I have a laptop, I will have access to the outside world. This will make Charles happy because I hope to spend a lot of that time working on The Chip Guide. That, of course, is providing the pain meds I get to take home are very VERY good.

But all jokes aside, I am more than a little concerned because I've been dealing with my bad back for about 7 years, so I'm really hoping this surgery does the trick. So if you oould please put me in your thoughts and prayers I would greatly appreciate. Thank you very much, and I hope to keep you updated.
