The new $1 New York New York chips have white text. In two separate trips to the casino I was only able to find one chip on a craps table. Previously I had found a helpful woman working the cage and asked for some new $1 chips. She grabbed ten old $1 chips, went into the back, and emerged with ten brand new out-of-the-box chips. Unfortunately, these were all of the old variety. I showed her the one new chip I had and she headed back, only to return to ask me if I was sure it was one of their chips!

Not sure what the story is on these chips. Apparently they still have new boxes of the 2nd issue chips in the vault.
