I can "read" a good number of the players fine. The majority of the time they bet until the river & turn over their cards. The best hand out of the 8 or so remaining wins the pot. Basically, it's showdown! The 1st tournament was a REAL crapshoot, last year the overall play was a LITTLE better, but not much. I'm sure down the road (about 4 to 5 years from now) the crapshoot/showdown aspect of the tournament will be replaced with skill as people get more experience. I can also read you until about the midway point of the tournament. At that point those two sixers you have had kick in & not even YOU know what you are doing!
