Concerning the message being gone when you hit the back button:

This is the answer I got from the authors support BB:

This is a known problem with Internet Explorer with cache checking set to "Every visit to the page". That setting should be changed to "Every time you start Internet Explorer".

Here is how to fix the problem:

Select:

View
Internet Options

Then where it says "Temporary Internet Files", click the "Settings" button.

There you will have 3 options under "Check for newer versions of stored pages"

Select the option "Every time you start Internet Explorer".

Save the changes and exit. It should work now.

Let me know if it doesn't.
