I haven't brought chips to a convention in a long time, but this year I'm delivering a bunch to some people. I remember years ago that the security screeners go nuts when they scan boxes of chips (not so much in Vegas, but certainly in Houston). Are there any tricks to making this easier?

I hesitate to put them in my checked bag because I have never arrived anywhere where I haven't opened my suitcase to find a slip a paper saying TSA went through my stuff.
