"Group Buy" of the Samuri Palace chips organized on ChipTalk.net. A Group Buy is where someone gets an idea/concept for a chip set design and then organizes buyers to get a quantity committment to the chip maker. In this instance, the design included a new mold, which was called the "Interlocking T" mold, however that was too long of a name for typing out over and over in the many messages threads on ChipTalk and over time the mold name was truncated to "T" mold.

Yep, the same name given to the older "T" mold design of Taylor and Co.
