My wife and I decided to take a ride to Cleveland last night. It takes us a little over 2 hours to get there from Pittsburgh so we had plenty of time to rethink the idea of going to Cleveland. We pull into town and park in the Horseshoe parking garage. If you make the trip make sure you park in the garage that is actually run by the casino and not just a random garage. You will have to pay for parking if you park anywhere else. As soon as we get into the elevator to leave the garage I get some heckles about my Steelers hat and my wives Pens shirt but that is ok we enjoy it since we know we are superior. ;-)
We arrive down to street level and start the walk to the casino. If you park in the Horseshoe lot you have to walk about a block to get to the casino. As we walk in we are greeted by about 6 people. First impression was wholly crap is this casino long and narrow. We walked around and noticed that they have a ton of slots that I have never seen before. I also noticed throughout our trip that instead of penny slots they have a lot of 2 penny slots. All of the new and fun games are min $0.80 and a lot of $1.20 mins. The casino is 4 floors and kinda of a strange lay out. I prefer a 1 level or even 2 but 4 is a bit much. If you are playing poker (4th floor) and want to go to the buffet (1st floor) it would be a heck of a hike unless there is a quick way that I didnt see.
We stayed for about 4 hours and NEVER went below what we started at. The very first spin on a slot I won $18 and we never looked back. We only took $200 for the two of us so we were not planning on staying long. I cashed out of 9 machines for over $100. Of course we gave a bunch back but we left up $391.00.
Overall I will give this casino a B-
* I liked the new slots but did not like the $0.02.
* Employees were super friendly
* there is plenty of room for the slots but it seems as if if the tables are jammed too close. Even to walk by them you have to squeeze.
* we ate at the burger place which was pretty good but over priced.
* it was really hot in the casino, possibly because it is 4 floors and may take some time to get the air regulated.
I only have one picture to share from inside the casino. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this photo?
