Re: ??? on Submissions
In Response To: ??? on Submissions ()

Dennis,

I am assuming this is related to the ChipGuide? If so then hopefully this will help answer your question. No item gets a "priority" in a sense really. Chips and tokens tend to be entered first as they are the most abundant item being submitted. Second, each administrator has a certain section they prefer to work on, typically because they have the most knowledge about that certain section of the guide. When I refer to section I mean as an example Nevada or Riverboat States, or Europe, etc. Probably the biggest reason for why it takes some time for items to be added is that for most of our submissions we receive we have to crop, rotate, and resize the image which takes time. Charles Kaplan is hosting a web seminar sometime soon on how to properly crop, rotate, resize, and even try to color restore if needed for all casino related items. If interested I would highly suggest contacting him and try and get a spot in to watch. If contributors can do this process before submitting the items to the guide this will speed up entering items time quite significantly. Finally, we have our backlog down to about 300 items or so which is much better than the 2000+ several months ago! So things are being entered quite a bit faster than before when we had a very large backlog. Hopefully this answers most of your questions. If you have any more questions that I did not answer contact Charles Kaplan as he will be able to answer any other questions.

P.S. sorry if my grammar is a bit off as I am typing this on my phone.
