The ChipGuide is offering a free webinar (on-line training) on how to scan chips (and other items) in order to get the best results for submission to the ChipGuide. I'll help you solve these common problems:

o Scanner software automatically crops off part of the chip or rotates it
o Colors are off
o Image is too large or too small
o Image is not sharp
o Image is distorted (not round)
o Shadows or reflections

And as a bonus, I'll also show you how to download FREE image editing software and show you how you can use it to:

o Brighten the chip if it is too dark and bring out hidden details
o Rotate the chip so that it is straight and level
o Circle crop the image so that all that is left is the chip itself - remove the distracting background
o Re-size the chip to any desired size
