I still think the table holder signs in the cafe having our display from Wednesday through Saturday would bring in people who are curious. I have only been a club member for 3 years but if I was in Vegas 15 years ago and saw a table sign I would have paid my admission as I would have been very curious about everything for sale and would have spent some money. Win/Win for the club and the sellers.
On the gambling part I am not condoning people gamble. All I am saying is if you do have a card from the South Point, you get a few perks and they would see that people from the club are also playing in the casino. This by way is the only way they can track what real business the convention is bringing into their casino as they are not getting rich off the room nights.
If anyone watched "Vegas Stripped" on TV they would have saw that the casino/hotel only cared about if their restaurants (better ones) and casino were getting filled from the conventions going on there after the main festivities were over for the day.
Again I will say table signs in the cafe are probably a zero cost and great advertising. The cafe is usually at capacity and all people in the cafe read all the signs on the table. I didn't mention the buffet because they normally do not have table signs in the buffet.
You want to try to draw the "people who are in Vegas at the moment" who did not know the convention was going on. I know club members already do a great job leaving fliers at stores around town. I believe you will find fliers at Spinettis as well as Gamblers General Store.
If there was anyway to break into the advertising at the WSOP that would be unreal.
