I too was wondering what being a "Democrat & union Activist" have to do with slabbing. Maybe the anti-slabbing effort is some sort of scheme Bill Clinton & "Big Labor"<g> has hatched to retaliate against everyone who voted for George W. Bush.

I don't think so, the anti-slabbing effort reaches across demographics, political affiliation, etc... I do think that it has the discussion of it has become a little too heated & has created a bad vibe as I said earlier.

What I believe will end or severely curtail the slabbing of casino chips is the forces of the marketplace. Look at the dealer (Henry something?) that was selling the slabbed chips at Rene's show. I wasn't there, unfortunately, but I would venture a guess that he took a bloodbath that weekend.

If nobody's buying the slabbed chips, ICG & the chip dealers selling them aren't making any money, & if they're not making any money at it, they won't do it for very long (at least I wouldn't).
