A few more than I have to run. My uneducated guess would be since Joe was selling custom Crest & Seal chips that the USPC maybe did not retain the sales order or samples of the chip they made for him?? This might account for C&S chips popping up that have no records. Obviously when Joe was selling all these gambling items gambling was for the most part Illegal. This guy dates way way back. I could not find any information or did the family know who bought him out. He had his heyday in the 30's way before many Illegal clubs even came on board. Now you can see why the couple of the attributions that exist for his own molded chips (3 dots and a dash or treyball) came from near his factory. This was so interesting chasing down a couple years back I just wish the records would have existed for the chips/equipment. The records might have went with he new owners that took over his business.
Any thoughts or comments on this would be most appreciated.
