If you go through the old records, you can find many with common spelling mistakes of names, cities, etc.

I have a new Iowa IOTD post I am working on. The newspaper has a glaring mispelling of the Iowa "State Atty General's" name. The AG would have loved the mispelling as he is the one being indicted!
