First I'd like to say Mark didn't say he had $10M in chip sales; only that they had $10M in sales. If I could buy something for $100 and sell it for $300 I'd do that all day. People who buy these chips are not collectors, they are souvenir buyers and people who 'think' they are buying as an investment, not unlike the stuff Franklin Mint sells. Franklin Mint sells stuff for hundreds of dollars with the buyer only finding later when he goes to sell that what he had purchased as an investment is almost worthless.
My concern is not so much slabbing is that once the overseas market figures out that these chips are selling for high prices they will make counterfeit chips and IGT might certify those. I would hope that is not the case.
As a fun collector, I will just plug along and enjoy my hobby!
