Most all has been covered above. Harrah's has a great Buffet on their 18th floor which over looks ski lifts and the Lake. I like taking a drive around the lake, normally head to the North end eat lunch and then drive the Calif side back to the South Shore-views, views and views.

A short trip over Rose Mt will take you into Reno. Another short trip will take you into Carson City, the Capitol of NV,then a little further down you run into Minden and then Gardnerville, the Home of Sharkey's Casino, on Thursday evenings Sharkey's serves a great Prime Rib dinner.

Virgina City is also a few miles South of Reno on the way to Carson City, home of the old Bucket of Blood.
