Steve, the casinos nearby are the Montbleu, Lakeside Inn, Harvey's and Harrah's.
Check out to see what entertainment will be there during your visit.
Harvey's and Harrah's usually have something going on.
Great "Skiing - Snow Boarding" if you're into that, and if not, still worth the trip up the lift for a great view of the Lake and surrounding area.
And the view from Lewellen's (spelling?) in Harvey's is hard to beat, with good food, but a little pricey.
Worth the drive to go up to the North Shore ... Crystal Bay has the Cal-Neva Lodge, once owned by Frank Sinatra.
They give tours and are worth checking out.
Also, the Hyatt Regency at Incline is a nice place to dine, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
They have gaming there, too ... but it's been pretty slow lately.
Also, at Crystal Bay is the Tahoe Biltmore for gaming, and Jim Kelley's Nugget, but not much happening there anymore. Might not be around much longer if things don't change.
The Lake is a beautiful place for sight-seeing and get to Emerald Bay for the view.
Also, if the weather cooperates, fun to watch the large trout at the "Bridge" at Tahoe City, and grab a bite to eat while you're there, if your hungry.
