As more and more casinos open up around the country, the share of the gambling pie becomes smaller and smaller. The same large casino companies are in competition with themselves and are having their lunch eaten as they try to find new ways to attract new customers to replace the gamblers lost as a result of all the competition that they themselves have created as the new casinos wind up competing with even newer ones being built closer to home. It's a vicious cycle.
