Why caution? He's not trying to sell anything only asking advice. If he gets a good deal he'll pay it forward and each of you at your own discretion can decide if its a good deal.

I see this type of question as advancing the hobby by education. I know its easy to think every email you get is a scam, sometimes they are. But I don't see it here.
