After moving in October of 2011 I visited a computer shop and had a PC built from my specifications. I had heard about a new, faster hard drive made by Hynix called SSD or Solid State Drive. The only problem, it's pricey at about $200 for a 128G drive. I ordered the 128G SSD with two other regular hard drives with 1T each along with an Intel I-5 2500 processor.
I was amazed at the speed of my PC. I recently ran a Malwarebytes scan of all three hard drives and it was completed in 24 minutes. An Avast full-system virus scan took all of 19 minutes. Both scanned about 250G's of data in my computer:
If you are getting a new computer look into an SSD hard drive. The cost of a regular HDD has gone up mainly because it was being produced in Thailand and the recent floods have slowed production. Also, an oversupply of SSD's have brought the price down.
