NCR BankNote of the Day- Eye of the Beholder

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Today’s note should catch your eye. The note is from Kazakhstan. It is a 5.000 Tenge issued in 2011.

The Republic of Kazakhstan lies in the north of the central Asian republics and is bounded by Russia in the north, China in the east, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the south, and the Caspian Sea and part of Turkmenistan in the west. Kazakhstan is about four times the size of Texas.

ACCORDING TO BORAT:
(Front) Predominant images are vertical. The main images are the "Kazak Eli" monument on the right side of the banknote, images of flying doves at the bottom in the middle and irbises. The upper part shows the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan: National Emblem (Arms) and National Flag. The face value is placed in digits at the bottom and top left, the face value literally in Kazakh is at the bottom in the middle. The inscription " KAZAKHSTAN ULTTYK BANKI " (name of the issuing authority) is placed in the top left, above there is an inscription in the Kazakh language stating that counterfeiting banknotes is against the law.


(Back) Predominant images are horizontal. The main image is an outline map of Kazakhstan. The top of the Independence Monument and the Kazakhstan hotel in Almaty are in the foreground, and mountains in the background. The denomination is shown both on the lower left corner and upper right corner. The face value in Russian is shown in the middle of the lower half of the banknote. The name of the issuing bank, in the Kazakh language, and the bank’s logo are in the middle of the upper half of the note. In the top left corner, on the white area, there is an inscription in Russian stating that counterfeiting banknotes is against the law. ENJOY!!!
