Regarding Storage - Basically I’m using acid free paper envelopes (the ones traditionally used for coins). They are then storage in batches of 100, horizontally staked in air tight plastic storage boxes. I’m not concerned about displaying them, just preserving them.
I believe your “extreme conditions” theory may explain this. Until recently, they have been kept in a spare room where the heating is never on and it has been extreamly cold over the last few months.
Jason if you can put one of the Ladbroke Piccadilly 20p chips aside for me and I will contact you with my address shortly. I’m in the process of photographing my collection of London items, but from the ones that are photographed, you wouldn’t happen to have any spares of the following would you?
