He was on the TODAY show with his daughter and her mother talking about it. The response was overwhelming to say the least. The positive responses were 75% pos. 25% neg. Before shooting the Laptop he removed the hard drive to save all of her pictures and data, which he gave back to her on the show. He still refuses to allow her use of a computer.
He said, going public (on Facebook) proved his point about about posting on Facebook, everything is 'out there for the world to see.'
If people post things like this and a potential employeer looks at it years later, what would his impression of her be as a good candidate?
Could he have handled it differently? Yes. Was he effective? YES. Will she REMEMBER it? DEFINATELY! I think they BOTH learned from it. No one was hurt and the point was VERY STRONGLY (her 2nd time remember) made.
EVEN the girl said he was a good father.....
My 2ยข- Many kids would not be in jail is parents DEMANDED good behavior from their kids rather than ignore it.
