What is Brent?

... I used the term Brent crude. Not everyone knows what that is so, let me explain:

There are three primary benchmarks, West Texas Intermediate, Brent Blend, and Dubai. Each is used to set the price of crude oil.

The classifications used are light, sweet, heavy, and sour. Sweet and sour refer to the sulfur content (sweet is more valuable and easire to refine). Light and heavy refer to the amount of light ends such as gasoline and heavy has more tar and heavy cuts). Crudes are blended to get the desired outcome of products.
