The ones I saw were wooden with a hair brush on the end - like the ones used to do calligraphy. They used them to mark the numbers and also write the ticket info - like the "Ways" and the prices. I don't recall seeing any markings like a casino name on the brushes - they were just plain. Some of the Keno writers were really good with them - the numbers written along the side were very fancy. I always played a way ticket - 3 3's, 3 6s, and a 9 spot - all that had to be written on the ticket with that paint bush like stylist and they usually did it with a flair. I think a few places even had the stylists at the tables in the Keno area for the customers to use but they disappeared early on because the customers weren't so good at writing stuff with the brushes.
