Ahhhh.... my favorite coin.

Long before I became interested in casino chips, I specialized in collecting lettered edge Bust Half Dollars (1807-1836) by die varieties. I was a member of the Bust Half Dollar Club and served as Editor of their newsletter for a short period of time. When Brenda and I purchased our town house in A.C. I consigned my collection of over 400 die marriages to a well-known West Coast coin dealer. I would love to have those coins today.

Below is a hand cut-out 1811 Bust Half that I used to wear on my jacket lapel whenever I attended a coin show. It was given to me by a dear friend, Bob Bassel, now departed, who was a fellow officer of the Garden State Numismatic Association.
