Tomorrow is the anniversary of a happy day in New Orleans as on this date, 2006, the casino celebrated its rebirth following all the trauma of Hurricane Katrina's forced breach of the Mississippi River levee and subsequent flooding that wreaked havoc in the Crescent City severely limiting the number of tourists who ventured into the View Carrie district. Harrah's issued a four set series of $5 chips to commemorate that special day. These chips were on all the table games, but were soon gone. Happy anniversary to the people of New Orleans and the French Quarter. With Mardi Gras in full swing, it will be a fast-pace time at the casino.
