My Mint matchcover is also blank inside and doesn't have the manufacturer name, justsaying made in the USA. I agree this is very unusual and I think the only one I have seen like that - I have about 600 to go through though, so may find another
I picked these up just to get a couple that I wanted from the UK, but it's been fun going through them all and seeing some of the old designs and comments. For example I have a couple of Cal-Neva casino matchcovers where the Ham & Eggs special increases in price from 75c to 95c - quite a jump, but what a bargain compared to today's prices. And the use of pictures of pretty girls on a few matchbooks - I guess some things never change. You can also tell which businesses are really looking to local sales only - there are quite a few matchcovers that don't list their city or even the area code for the phone number so it's difficult to locate them.
Have also updated the Beef 'n Grog auction - well spotted
