luckily, mine was only a cheap 2.00 chip and easily replacable for the same 2.00. The worst part of this is that my wife was the one that ran the garbage disposal and felt super guilty about destroying the chip. It was clearly my fault it ended up in the drain, and a common chip.....but she still felt really bad about it.
